Graph with Domain

This is a short report showing how to graph the domain of a function.

We can use 'with ( | )' function to show the domain when we graph.

When the function is,
           f(x)= x domain x<-1
                   -x domain -1<=x<=1
                   1 domain 1<x
the graph is below.

When we type -1<x and x<1, the ClassPad automatically changes it to -1<x<1. BUT we CANNOT draw the graph.

This is a poor specification that ClassPad should improve.

I'm sorry to say such a negative comment about the ClassPad. But I love the ClassPad and I'm sure the engineers listen to us and improve the software.

Piecewise

Piecewise function enables us to draw a graph with domain.

When the function is,
           f(x)= x domain x<-1
                   -x domain -1<=x<=1
                   1 domain 1<x
we can also use piecewise function.

When we use the piecewise function, the graphs are connected to each other. And we can use the domain -1<x<1. Thank you ClassPad!
